Since this month’s Golden Snitch giveaway is inspired by books, I wanted to share with all of you 3 books that are currently on my radar. First is a book from my friend and sorority sister (yay!), Karma Patrol
This is her debut novel and even if she wasn’t the author, I’d still really want to read this because it sounds AWESOME. In this novel there’s love, murder, and most importantly, karma. The main character, Jade, is a karmic account enforcer – she makes sure to keep her area in karmic balance. Unfortunately, right as she’s about to get a promotion, a killer goes on a rampage upsetting the karmic balance and potentially killing Jade’s promotion – and possibly even her.
I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on a copy of this as it’s got “late night reading at 2am because I can’t put it down” written all over it.
Next up is this awesome book, The Fangirl Life: A Guide to All the Feels and Learning How to Deal by Kathleen Smith. I’ll be doing an actual review of this book soon here on the blog, but so far, I LOVE it! It’s a quick, easy, and fun read and something any geek girl should pick up.
Finally, I’m loving this fabulous book from Gala Darling, Radical Self-Love: A Guide to Loving Yourself and Living Your Dreams. Although I can hide it rather well in person, I suffer a lot of self-doubt and self-loathing. I spend far too much time worrying about what others think of me and feeling like I’m not good enough. This book is helping me to deal with this and to learn the art of self-love (because it really is an art that takes practice and patience).
What are you reading this month?

I’d Like to Introduce You To…
This month, Kimi asked us a horrible question. Shame on her for this… because the question was difficult and not fair to ask of fellow book lovers! Ha!
KIMI | Kimi Who?
I love dystopian society based books and that’s why I could probably read the Divergent series again and again. I fell in love with it when the book first came out – long before it was a thing. It’s really stuck with me. I greatly enjoyed he character development, twists and turns. It seems like every time I re-read the books, I find something new.
MICHELLE | Geeked Out Girl
I would have to say Star Wars. With the new movies forthcoming, there will be a lot of new canon material to keep me going for a long time.
LAURA | Con Couture
We just saw the Goosebumps movie so I am going to say the original Goosebumps books by R.L. Stine. We still have a bunch of them and wish we had the time to go back and read them all as adults. Not only are they entertaining, but they bring back so many wonderful memories of our childhoods when we thought Goosebumps was the bees knees!
CHRISTINA | Cali Darling
I’d honestly have to say the Twilight Saga. I watched the first movie and then bought all the books. I read all the books in almost a week and enjoyed it so much.
JENN | The Diary of a Dreamer
Probably Harry Potter. It’s my favorite series to read and I try to re-read it every 1-2 years
HEATHER | The Nerdy Fox
The Old Kingdom books by Garth Nix. Sabriel has been my all time favorite book for so long. I think they’re what really got me back into reading when I was younger. They I have the audio books, variant covers of the books, I’ve read it so many times that I could probably copy it down from memory. I love them so much.
ANGIE | My So-Called Chaos
Well that would certainly suck… LOL maybe Harry Potter? At least you would continually be entertained, and hopefully she writes some more so it’ll be longer. lol
LIANA | Liana Kangas Art
That’s a pretty tough question, but right now I’m pretty obsessed with nerd autobiographies, I’ve been re-reading Nerd Do Well by Simon Pegg, and just finished You’re Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) by Felicia Day (totally relatable!) Because of that I finally picked up The Nerdist Way by Chris Hardwick… I know it’s not a series but I just couldn’t help myself. (But if I had to pick, it’d be Harry Potter…)
DANIELLE | From Girlie to Nerdy
The Harry Potter series because it’s full of all of my favorite things – magic, love, friendship, adventure, danger…it’s basically my absolute favorite series and I have no problem reading it over and over again.
JESSICA D. | Two Married Geeks
If I could only read one book series for the rest of my life, it would have to be Harry Potter. I can read that series over and over and it never gets old.
JESSICA P. | The Nifty Nerd
This is quite the unfair question for a book lover…If I could only read one book series for the rest of my life, I’d probably have to choose Lord of the Rings. Not only is it my biggest fandom, but the lore of Middle Earth is so vast & rich; I wouldn’t mind getting lost/stuck there for the rest of my life.
MER | Queering Through Life
It would have to be any of Tamora Pierce‘s works based in Tortall. I’ve always felt I was born in the wrong century, and while her books are based in a fictional world, it takes me to a place that makes sense in my head. Sure, there was no technology in those times, but people really worked for what they had. They appreciated what they had. Everything was built and made by hand rather than machine. It was a more simple time. And hey, she always has female main characters which really makes the series amazing and absolutely enthralling. It plays to my whimsical fantasies of the possibly realistic supernatural while also maintaining to be placed in an understandable history. I would have no problem reading about Tortall until the end of my days.
ASHLEY | Hello Nature
Harry Potter! There are SO many reasons why, but one of the biggest reasons? It’s actually something I connected with my Grandma over. She’s a huge Harry Potter fan and the fact that we got to go with her to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter a few years ago just makes these books seem even more special.
NICHOLE | Cuppa Geek
Laurell K Hamilton. The Anita Blake series. One of the first supernatural book series I fell in love with.

I would definitely stick with the Harry Potter series or Game of Thrones, but what there are far more options with the Star Wars novelizations. I am on a memoirs binge at the moment and I loved the books by Pegg, Day & Hardwick, too!
Game of Thrones is on my reading list for sure 🙂 Memoirs are some of my favorite things to read!
I’ve been slacking on my reading but I think I might reread a few favorites soon!
I always love doing a re-read 🙂
That Karma Patrol book sounds really interesting! Is it YA?
It would suck hardcore to only be able to read 1 series for the rest of my life! I’m not surprised so many chose HP. I just finished reading a book called Hausfrau. The cover sold it as a woman who’s unhappy and cheats on her husband and finds herself in the end. Spoiler alert, she finds herself in front of a train. I’m still haunted by it. Since when do books use the term “heroine” to describe a character who is depressed and ends up killing herself?? Ugh. Wish I hadn’t read it! lol
It’s not YA, but I think you’d like it. That book you just read sounds like quite a downer 🙁
I cannot get your entry form to come up?
Sorry about that – seems like something was wrong with the code for it, but it’s fixed now 🙂
Awww love the books. I might pick all of them LOL And Yay for the giveaway! You ladies rock! (I should join you the next time 😉 )
You totally should join in with us for next month 🙂
Lord of the rings for me!
That’s definitely on my to-read list 🙂
Mer and Nichole won my heart with their Book answers. Tamora Pierce was my young adult years and Laurell K Hamilton was my early adult years. I’m not sure I could pick one series for the rest of my life. It’s be a toss up between Patricia Brigg’s Mercy series or perhaps Sweep, by Cate Tiernan.
I’ve heard really good things about the Laurell K Hamilton series – I need to pick it up one day.
Harry Potter and Divergent. I can read them over and over!!
Thank you for the chance.
I think I would stick to the Harry Potter series. There is still so much you can find out about the series after you read it over and over again.
Yes! There’s always stuff you didn’t catch before 🙂
I loved the Hunger Games series. At first I was put off with the slaughter of children but then I saw the social analogies especially the Capitol
I loved this series too. When my friend first told me about it I was uninterested because, children killing each other – not my thing. So glad I read it though.
Oooohhh too many series to count! Such an evil question D’:
Haha…it is such an evil question :p
My favorite series are the historical romance series by Jane Feather or Gaelyn Foley. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I’ll have to check those out 🙂
The Hunger Games series (though I love Harry Potter too)
I loved reading Harry Potter series because they were all so intriguing
I love the Wheel of Time series because it was such an epic fantasy. Also, after the author passed we were introduced to Branden Sanderson and all his great books!
Only one series?
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Thanks for the contest.
At the moment the Barney Thomson books by Douglas Lindsay. Love the style of humor in them and the new movie based on the first book is one of my favorite movies in a long time.
Since you made me choose one I’ll say it again:The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
i loved the divergent series they were fun to read 🙂
My favorite book series is Harry Potter. I fell in love with the characters.
Bad Instagram link for nerdyfox. Should be https://www.instagram.com/thenerdyfoxblog/
The Harry Potter series because it was so unique and the Shopaholic series because I could relate.
