With the passing of Alan Rickman earlier this year, my world was rocked a little. I had never felt quite so sad about a celebrity death. Part of it was likely because I had just finished the Harry Potter series, and his death as Snape still left me reeling, but it just hit me hard. In his passing, I felt inspiration. I wanted to seize the day and accomplish things and not be so scared because of what other might think.
One of the lovely things that happened because of his death was a special edition box from Fandom of the Month Club. They not only put together an amazing box, commemorating his role as Snape, but they donated $2 from each box to St. Jude’s. I thought this was just so brilliant and quite befitting of Snape – so I jumped on the box and it just arrived an hour ago.
I made another unboxing video, which I hope you enjoy. Still working on trying to get good lighting, consistent location, etc 🙂
Here’s a close up photo of all of the items. They’re really all quite special and each time I look at them I feel a bit emotional. I’m so glad I picked up this box as it’s such a great way to remember both Alan Rickman and Snape.
I thought it was really cool they included a car decal in this box as I’ve been wanting something nerdy for my car. I also really, really love the bag. It’s a thicker velvet kind of bag and, I mean with the phrase on it, it’s just perfect. The necklace is my absolute favorite. I didn’t realize it when making the video, but the vial is supposed to be Snape’s tear that he gives to Harry. Cue my heart breaking into a million pieces. Le sigh.
What’s your favorite piece from this box?
