Daredevil season 2 hits Netflix this Friday, March 18. I’m seriously so pumped. I thoroughly enjoyed the first season. Although it felt slow at times, they were building up to the most excellent finale. I’m so excited for season 2 that I decided to whip up these Avocado Deviled Eggs, which I’ve affectionately dubbed Avocado’s at Law: Daredeviled Eggs, to snack on all week while waiting until I can finally watch the show again.
First, just in case you need it, a (very) quick recap on the season 1 finale and then I’ll get to the recipe. It starts with Ben’s funeral. Karen is feeling seriously guilty about everything and is not too happy with Foggy either for not showing up to the funeral. Foggy and Matt have a reconciliation and team up on how to legally take down Fisk. Fisk proposes to Vanessa as he gets cuffed and taken away. Matt gets his Daredevil suit (YAY!) and there’s the big showdown between him and Fisk. The End 🙂
Avocado Deviled Eggs
I don’t know about you, but I love deviled eggs. I also really like avocados and thought it would make an eggcellent (hehe) combination. Throw some Daredevil into the mix and you’ve got these fantastic Avocado Deviled Eggs AKA Avocado’s at Law: Daredeviled Eggs.
These are simple to make and make for an excellent protein-filled snack.
- 12 eggs
- 1 diced avocado
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tbsp. yellow mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- Paprika for garnish (optional)
- Hard boil the eggs. Once they’ve cooled, peel, cut in half, and put yolks into a food processor or blender.
- Add the avocado, lemon juice, mayo, mustard, salt, and pepper to the egg yolks in the food processor and blend it until smooth.
- Spoon the filling into the egg halves and sprinkle with paprika, if desired.
- Enjoy!
These avocado deviled eggs are not only crazy delicious, but they’re filling too and make for a great snack. Also, if you’ve never seen this video on how to peel eggs easy and fast, you need to do it before making this recipe. Peeling eggs is quite possibly the worst food related task and this egg in a cup of water trick actually works.
Now back to Daredevil – this new season looks like it’s going to be great. I’m really excited to meet Elektra and word on the street is Jon Bernthal makes an amazing Punisher. I’m keeping my fingers crossed we get a good crossover or two this season.
Are you excited for Daredevil season 2? What did you love most about last season?
I loved Daredevil, and can’t wait for the next season – though I really didn’t like his suit to be honest, so I’m not looking forward to seeing more of that..
His suit isn’t my favorite, but I was glad he finally had a suit to keep him a little more protected 🙂
Love it!! I will be putting up a Daredevil post this week, too! I am so excited for this Friday! I’ll just have to pace myself so it’s not over in 24 hours. Thank you for such an easy recipe to follow! I have always been intimidated by the prospect of making deviled eggs.
I’ve gotta try and pace myself as well – it’s so tempting to watch all at once 🙂 Deviled eggs are definitely easier than they look to make – hope you like them!
I haven’t watched Daredevil… but I came here for the food anyways. 😀 I never thought to put avocado in deviled eggs and it sounds amazing!
It really adds a nice change in the flavor by adding the avocado 🙂
OMG that egg trick is amazeballs! I watched the video where he did 6 in a tupperware container. All but 1 of the 6 peeled the same way. So cool! I’ll have to try that with our Easter eggs 😉 Great job on the recipe too. I’ve been eating a ton of avos lately.
I can’t believe I ever wasted time trying to peel eggs when I could do that. Definitely give this a try with your Easter eggs 🙂
I am super duper excited for Daredevil season 2 it is about time!!!! Those avocado deviled eggs look amazing!
I just cannot wait to binge on Daredevil on Friday night 🙂
Yummm!!! And I absolutely love the name. I’ll be whipping up some of these for sure!
Haha thanks – I thought the name was fun 🙂 Hope you like these when you make them!
I loved deviled eggs and I really want to watch Daredevil!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
Deviled eggs are one of my favorites – you should definitely check out Daredevil 🙂
Guess who is printing this recipe to prepare it on Sundaaaaayyyyyy 3:) Thank you!!! <3
Yay! I hope you like them! Just be aware that after a day the filling will turn a little brown, but it’s just from the avocados being exposed to air – still quite tasty :p
Well I’m not a fan of devilled eggs BUT I am a fan of puns and you get top marks for the title of this post. Top notch punning Miss D!
Haha I do love a good pun 🙂
