Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. We had a lot of family time and my husband and I got plenty of couple time. Sunday was our 7th wedding anniversary. We were married on 12/13/2008 – exactly 5 years after the day we met. We’ve been together for 12 years, which is so crazy to think about, but wonderful too. We had an amazing dinner out at our favorite local restaurant, The Ravenous Pig and saw The Hunger Games, which I was reallllllllllly disappointed with.
We like to follow the traditional anniversary gifts (be sure to check here for some geeky traditional anniversary gifts) and this year was copper and wool. He got me a Direwolf scarf and an Alex and Ani Princess Leia bracelet (which may or may not be copper but it’s made from recycled metal so I’m pretending copper is in there somewhere). I got him personalized copper collar stays and a gray wool tie. I was so happy that he LOVED the collar stays 🙂
I also wanted to show off my super awesome new Jordandené top. I got a matching one for my son (who did not want to be in the photo). I’ve washed these shirts a few times now because we both want to wear them all of the time. They’re super comfortable and just so, so fun. I went out on a fashion limb (for me) and paired this with a pleated skirt and I’m really happy with the look.
Top: Jordandené
Skirt: Target
Shoes: Naturalizer
Did you do anything fun this weekend?
Your anniversary gifts are so cute! And I love that shirt.
Thanks – I wish it was cold enough to wear my scarf :p
So cute! I recently ordered a similar skirt because I want to style it with all my geeky tanks and t-shirts!
I love having a pleated skirt – who knew it would work with tees too 🙂
I love that Leia bracelet! So adorable!
They just released some other Star Wars ones that I need to add to my never-ending list of fandom wants 🙂
Super cuteness! <3 <3 <3 <3
Thanks 🙂
This weekend was spent working really hard potty training this stubborn child of mine, still not 100% but we’ll get there. 😛 And we have spent a lot of time at the beach.
Potty training is no fun, but it does pass 🙂 My BFF just moved to Mililani and seeing all of her beach pics makes me jealous haha.
