I seriously cannot believe in just 2 days time, I will be seeing The Force Awakens. Although my love of Star Wars only began this year, it’s become my favorite fandom and I literally couldn’t have picked a better time for this to happen. There’s just so much Star Wars goodness out there right now and the community of fans is just amazing. Let’s just say I’m geeking out 🙂
To say I’m excited to not only see the movie is a big understatement. However, I’m just as pumped to dress up for the movie as this will be my first big movie event that I can dress for. I’ve been planning my outfit for some time. I wanted to give a nod to my beloved Vader, so this is the Darth Vader Casual Cosplay outfit I’ve put together for Friday night.
I already had it in mind to wear these leggings. They’re from Old Navy and have faux leather going down the side. I paired it with this bustier top from Torrid. I LOVE this top so so much as it’s a little edgy and fun. I also have a black cardigan to go on top – kind of like a cape.
I made the necklace myself earlier this week and I’m so happy with how it turned out. It was my first attempt at the portrait style charm, but it worked well. I also picked up the new Star Wars Alex and Ani Imperial Crest bangle and the earrings are also from Torrid. Last, I created that fantastic hair bow using acrylic paint on a bow I picked up for $2.
Obviously I needed a tiny pop of red in my outfit, so I went with my favorite red bow shoes. I think they add the perfect touch to the outfit.
Last but not least, my Star Wars Dooney and Bourke bag. This baby was supposed to be my Christmas gift, but it’s making her debut early for Star Wars Christmas.
I’ll be doing some Star Wars cover girl style makeup and not sure on the hair yet, but I do know it will include my awesome bow. I’ll be sure to post pics of me in the outfit so everyone can see.
What will you be wearing to The Force Awakens?
