Mike (The Hubs) and I have pretty much caught up on all of our shows. We had planned to watch many things this summer, but got unexpectedly sucked into Parks and Recreation. We started and ended it within the summer, but that’s pretty much all we watched most nights. I further developed my love of Chris Pratt and discovered the goodness of Treat Yo Self. This episode debuted on Oct 13, 2011, making Tuesday the 4th anniversary of Treat Yo Self. I decided I wanted a treat, so I got this little beauty from Hollywood Studios.
I feel like the fanciest nerd in town with this beautiful Star Wars Dooney & Bourke bag. To say it’s a thing I love is a major understatement. My love of Star Wars grows every day and this is most definitely my favorite Star Wars item as it combines my love of girlie with my newfound love of nerdy.
In other TV news, Mike and I are trying to catch up on all of the great shows. There’s just so many, some that have been on forever or are over (I’m currently marathoning Buffy & I see a Supernatural marathon in our future) and some that are only a season or two in. We decided to start Gotham this week since we’ll be easily able to catch up before the next show aires this weekend. I have always loved the City of Gotham and Batman and all of his friends and foes. This show is amazing – addictingly amazing. Considering I usually can’t get Mike to watch more than 2 30 minute shoes in a row, he was begging to watch a third Gotham last night. We’re obsessed!
I saw this article about cats that cosplay and instantly fell in love. My college cat Beau (the one that reminds me of Grumpy Cat) let me begrudgingly dress him up. He had a wide variety of hats and even a scarf or too. Too bad Thomas O’Malley (our kitty now) does not tolerate being dressed up.
Thanks to the magic of 3D printing, a company is now making affordable prosthetic hands – in Disney characters! Disney, being the bringer of magic and awesome has granted royalty-free licenses so they’re making cool arms like Iron Man and Elsa. I remember seeing the video of RDJ (swoooooooon) presenting a little boy with an Iron Man arm and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me tear up. I can’t imagine how terribly hard it must be for these children to be missing a limb and how undoubtedly awesome they feel when they receive on of these. This wins the Internet awesome award.
What are you loving this week?
