Halloween is tomorrow! I’m so excited. My sweet Nugget decided to be a bat this year, which shocked me. I figured he would’ve wanted to be SpiderMan, but I’m ecstatic because I know this is the last year I’ll be able to get him in an adorable animal costume. I’m doing a Day of the Dead look and Mike is going as a skeleton. Normally we do family themed costumes, but we’re going a bit simpler this year.
This week’s 5 Fandom Friday is 5 Favorite Halloween Episodes of TV Shows…
The Office: Halloween
Oh I miss Michael Scott. The best/worst boss ever. I remember cracking up when Jim and Pam posted Dwight’s resume online and hearing him fight on the phone with them about martial arts on his resume. I loved seeing everyone in their costumes as well.
Modern Family: Halloween
If I had the funds and the will, I’d totally go all out with our house for Halloween like The Dunphy’s do. Claire has a serious love of Halloween that I admire. I loved everything about this episode – Phil worrying about Claire being tired of him (and discovering that, of course, she’s not), Mitchell in his SpiderMan costume, and even Gloria and her terrible “English” accent.
South Park: Hell on Earth
South Park has had quite a few Halloween episodes and I had a hard time picking one as my favorite. Spookyfish was a very, VERY close second, but I just love Satan’s huge Halloween party in Hell on Earth and his Britney Spears costume. Biggie Smalls in the mirror was ridiculous. I can’t tell you how many times I tried to play Bloody Mary with my friends, so Biggie Smalls was amazing. The whole Ferrari car cake fiasco was amazing too and I even tried to get a similar (smaller) Acura cake as Mike’s groom cake because we thought it was so funny.
Parks & Recreation: Halloween Surprise
So much goodness in one episode. Ron and Diane taking the girls trick-or-treating together after Halloween was one of my favorite Ron moments. Donna live tweeting the movie and then Leslie and Ann scaring Jerry into a farting heart attack (fart attack?) was hilarious and of course, the best moment EVER – Ben proposing to Leslie. Le sigh 🙂
True Blood: And When I Die
True Blood was one of my favorite shows, ever. I was in love with the book series (please read if you haven’t already) and this was such a GREAT episode and an amazing season finale. There was seriously so much going on – Lafayette/Marnie stabbing Jesus, Jason telling Hoyt about him and Jessica, Sookie making the choice to not choose between Eric and Bill (let’s be real, she should’ve chose Eric!), and Tara getting shot. And surprise – it all happens on Halloween.
What are some of your favorite Halloween episodes? Hope everyone has a fantastic Halloween!
