My son is obsessed with AT-ATs. The other week he asked me an AT-AT shirt, so like any (newly) Star Wars loving mom, I was happy to oblige. Naturally everywhere I looked online didn’t have them in his size. The next day, I happened to stumble upon this amazingly perfect shirt while shopping in Nordstrom Rack and it was the last one – IN HIS SIZE!
He didn’t quite understand the goodness of the shirt, so I showed him some YouTube clips and then read the part to him in his awesome Star Wars Little Golden Books.
I found the Lego Star Wars Microfighters AT-AT for my son and naturally had to get the Snowspeeder to go with it. I thought it would be fun to reenact the Battle of Hoth with the Legos and my husband suggested I do a stop motion movie for it. I put my crafty skills to work and made a background, some Ivory soap snow, and go to work. Here’s our Stop Motion Lego Star Wars movie: Don’t Trip.
Mike was in charge of flying the snowspeeder and I did the rest. We were cracking up the entire time making this, and given that it was our first time doing it, I think it turned out pretty good.
Hope you enjoy it!
